About the Director

James Duhon has received a Bachelor of Music Performance from McNeese State University and a Master of Music Performance from the University of Maryland. He has studied trumpet with Michael Ewald, David Scott, Dennis Dotson, and Chris Gekker. Currently, he maintains a private studio of seventy young trumpeters in the Houston, Texas area. In addition to teaching, he freelances performing classical and commercial music.
