I love playing the trumpet and helping others find the same enjoyment!

Hello! I’m Kristen, and I love playing the trumpet and helping others find the same enjoyment! I have experience with and am willing to work with students of all ages and ability levels. The only requirement I have is that students try their best.

My Education Experience
* Bachelor of Arts in Music Education (University of North Texas)
* Master of Music in Trumpet Performance (Royal Northern College of Music – Manchester, England)
* Master of Science in Global Studies and International Relations (Northeastern University)

My Teaching Experience:
* I have held a K-12 teaching certificate since 2004.
* I have been teaching trumpet lessons since 2000. (My students have consistently performed well at regional/all-state auditions and solo/ensemble competitions.)
* I was a certificated band, choir, and orchestra director for 7 years.

My Professional Performance Experience:
* I have been performing professionally with the U.S. Navy Fleet Bands all over the United States, Europe, and Africa since 2011.

I teach in Lake County, Illinois.

Lessons at my home in Lake Bluff: $75/hour

Lessons at your home (at my discretion): $100/hour

(At this time, I only offer 1-hour lessons.)

In general, I am available:

Monday – Friday: 5pm – 9pm (last lesson at 8pm)

Saturday: 10am – 4pm (last lesson at 3pm)
